TELLEY S. MADINA, SR.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Telley Savalas Madina attended high school at Eleanor McMain Secondary School. Telley received a Bachelors of Science in Social Sciences with a concentration in political science at Loyola University New Orleans and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of New Orleans.
He worked his way through college as Intramural Athletic Official, an Account Executive at WDSU-TV Ch. 6 and as an Assistant Store Manager with Walgreens. Having served as Chair of the African American Leadership Conference and Co-Chair of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.’s 2008 Regional Convention in New Orleans he has shown and continue to provide proven leadership.
As a Business Service Representative for both Job 1 and the City of New Orleans, Telley has worked tirelessly to promote small business development, job seeking skills and placement of New Orleans citizens with jobs at local companies. After Hurricane Katrina he worked for Goodwill assisting New Orleans’ evacuees in Shreveport, Louisiana, with finding jobs.
Since returning in October of 2005, Telley continues to be an advocate of economic development and education in Algiers. After leaving the Mayor’s office in 2008 Telley formed Red & Blue Consulting, LLC, a political consulting and business relations firm, where he is the Chief Executive Officer. He is also Chief Executive Officer of The Madina Group. He sits as a board member on the Algiers Economic Development Foundation, YouthStartUp, Nikki’s Foundation for Kids and the Loyola University New Orleans Young Alumni. Telley shows his commitment and dedication to the community’s youth through his affiliations with Tambourine & Fan, Inc., Metro Student Leadership Council, Loyola Institute of Politics and as an LHSAA Basketball Official. He also serves on the Advisory Council to Delgado Community College’s West Bank Campus.
Telley is married to Tallace Encalade Madina of Harvey, Louisiana, and has one son, Telley, Jr.
